String & Zest Peeler

The Citrus & Kiwi electric peeler machine can be equipped with a specially designed “Zesting knife”. This knife makes a long string from the peel of the citrus fruit. Zest is a highly sought after and valuable ingredient used in the bakery industry and for making marmalade.

Zest is used for the colour, smell and taste in various industries. The zest is an important natural additive to all kinds of products. i.e. cosmetics, sweets, drinks etc. The zest can be taken from the fruit with either the standard peel cup or with the zesting knife which delivers a more consistent and high quality result. When the citrus fruit is stripped of the outer shell, it can also be further peeled up to the fruit. The thickness of the second, white layer, can also be easily adjusted via the touchscreen. Finally, the fruit can still be top-tailed.
